Polarization and Wavelength Channel Drop Filters Based on Two-Dimensional Photonic Crystal

Abstract

A new type of device named polarization and wavelength channel drop filter (PW-CDF) designed by two-dimensional photonic crystal is proposed. The PW-CDF has compound functions of polarization beam splitter (PBS) and CDF at the operating wavelength.
