Single-Polarization Operation of Phosphate Fiber Laser Induced by External Feedback

Abstract

Single-frequency, single-polarization operation is realized in an Er:Yb co-doped phosphate fiber laser by regulating external feedback. The lasing polarization extinction ratio (PER) is 23dB and the linewidth is nearly 2 KHz.
