Circularly polarized light induces transverse voltage in metallic photonic crystal slabs

Abstract

When circularly polarized light is obliquely incident on a two-dimensional metallic photonic crystal slabs, electrical voltage is found to be induced perpendicularly to the incident plane at the surface plasmon polariton resonance.
