Abstract
ZnO nanowires were grown on the sapphire substrate by nanoparticles-assisted pulsed laser deposition. An UV light-emitting diode (LED) was fabricated by using the ZnO nanowires. The UV-violet peak centered at 390 nm was observed from the LED. Furthermore, a ZnO-based phosphor was applied to the ZnO-based UV-LED to fabricate a ZnO-based visible LED.
