Abstract
Since the basic assumption in digital hologram synthesis using novel look-up table method is that the 3D object is discretely sliced in the Z direction, although in practice we need a discretization process as the 3D object is intact. The careful selection of the discretization step is important, because it may degrade the reconstructed image quality and can affect the performance and memory requirements. In this paper we have analyzed the effects of the discretization steps on performance and memory requirements in novel look-up table method.
