Abstract
Lock acquisition and alignment control will present significant challenges to the commissioning of future gravitational wave detectors. Digital interferometry, combining conventional heterodyne interferometry with (de)modulation using pseudo-random noise codes, can aid in solving these problems. Here we discuss a new table-top experiment designed to investigate the use of digital interferometry as a tool for lock acquisition and cavity alignment control.
