Imprinting of a Homogeneous Nanograting with Femtosecond Laser Ablation

Abstract

We demonstrate that intense femtosecond laser pulses can directly imprint a homogeneous nanograting on gallium nitride surface in air through the surface plasmon polariton fields induced and controlled by a simple two-step ablation process.
