Abstract
A holographic polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (HPDLC) memory to record multi-context information for an optically reconfigurable gate array is formed by a successive laser exposure in LC composites. The multi-context information is recorded at 9 regions isolated in HPDLC memory by a laser illumination system using the movable pinhole and photomask with the motorized stages. The configuration contexts corresponding to the various logical circuits are reconstructed by the independent laser illumination to the local regions in the HPDLC memory. The formation of volume grating structure in LC composites is investigated by SEM observation.
