179 nm Generation with Borate Crystal

Abstract

We demonstrated the generation of 179 nm vacuum-ultraviolet (VUV) lights with a solid-state laser system. It was realized in LiB305 crystal by mixing the deep-ultraviolet of 198.8 nm and the infrared of 1799.9 nm.
