Abstract

We investigate temporal and wavelength dependencies on the QPSK to 16QAM format conversion method when it is applied to WDM signals. BER performances are numerically calculated as a function of phase of the clock signal into an intensity modulator which may cause temporal misalignment for WDM signal extinction.
