Abstract

This work reports a metamaterial mid-infrared absorber with high absorption of 77% at 7.87 μm with the Q-factor of 9. The subtly distinctive behavior of the laterally polarized cut wire with different displacements from the symmetry center are observed in experiment and verified in simulation.
