Abstract

An all-fiberized, in-band pumped Ho-doped fiber laser is presented. The laser is pumped by an in-house built Tm- doped fiber laser operating at 1.9S μm, and its operation wavelength is stabilized by a high-reflection (HR) FBG at 2.1 μm. 18.1 W output at 2.1 μm is generated by the laser, with a slope efficiency of 74.7 %.
