High resolution photonic RF switching based on coherent Brillouin interactions

Abstract

We report the demonstration of an electrically controlled two-channel microwave photonic switch of 40 dB extinction exploiting coherent interaction of Stokes and anti-Stokes fields associated with the stimulated Brillouin scattering in polarization maintaining fiber.
