Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate optomechanically driven nonlinear mechanical intermodal coupling by using high-Q square nano-membranes. Pumping via radiation forces as low as 34 pN, we achieve ultrahigh-efficiency coupling of the first-order mode into the higher-order ones.
