Abstract

Spectral inversion of intensity-modulated signals by an opto-electronic phase conjugator is demonstrated. It is shown that broad-linewidth (30MHz) DFB laser can be used as the local oscillator (LO) and frequency difference between the signal and LO as large as 14GHz is tolerated.
