A Novel Structure of Microfiber-based Sensor for Onsite/insitu Detection of Heavy Metal Ions

Abstract

We propose a novel sensing structure for onsite/in-situ detection of heavy metal ions based on a non-adiabatic microfiber sandwiched by two fiber Bragg gratings (FBG). The surface of the microfiber is functionalized with chelating agent.
