Abstract

We propose hybrid optical wired/wireless access networks integrating fixed/mobile system. Tradeoff between strong carrier of EML modulation and nonlinearity is investigated. Hybrid access is achieved by employing commercial EML, envelop-detection down-conversion, and Volterra compensation.
