Tunable hybrid plasmonic split-ring resonator refractive index sensor for high FOM applications

Abstract

We propose a hybrid plasmonic micro-ring resonator combining split-ring and photonic waveguide. The finite difference time domain analysis of the design exhibit strong field confinement and have a figure of merit of 216.67 /RIU which can be used for refractive index sensor application.
