Polarization tracking for Stokes-vector modulation formats using Kalman filter

Abstract

A novel polarization tracking algorithm based on Kalman filter for Stokes-vector modulation formats are proposed. Compared with reported algorithms, the proposed scheme with optimal Q value shows fast polarization tracking capability and quick convergence.
