Mid-Infrared Spectral Compression of Parabolic Pulses in a Chalcogenide Ridge Waveguide

Abstract

We design a dispersion-engineered chalcogenide (As2S3) ridge waveguide to achieve the mid-infrared spectral compression of chirped parabolic pulses. Simulation results show that the compression factor can be up to 27 in a 6.6-mm long waveguide.
