A Long-Distance Fiber-Optic Arc-Flash Sensing System

Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a long-distance fiber-optic arc-flash sensing system. Using an optical energized VOA, the arc-flash signal can be transmitted by 4-km optical fiber, which meets the demand of the power industry.
