Abstract

We have successfully developed a mode-locked fiber laser utilizing a nano-engineered Tm3+-doped yttrium-alumina-silica (YAS) glass fiber. Such kind of new material fiber exhibits the better capability of cluster elimination than commercial Tm3+-doped silica fibers.
