Experimental demonstration of single Fabry-Perot resonator based optical add-drop filters in silicon

Abstract

We have demonstrated highly efficient add-drop filters based on a single travelling-wave like Fabry-Perot resonator in silicon. A dropping efficiency of 68% is realized, and only 8% of light is left at the through port.
