A Horn-Waveguide Asymmetric RSOA-EAM as Colorless Transmitter in WDM-PON with Reduced Crosstalk

Abstract

A horn-waveguide reflective semiconductor optical amplifier was studied. Experimental results reveal that it has an excellent saturation effect for the downstream signal and linear amplification for the upstream signal compared to the straight design.
