Optimization of pump scheme for low frequency noise 2 μm polarization-maintaining single frequency fiber laser

Abstract

We report 2-μm single-frequency polarization-maintaining fiber-laser with optimized frequency noise below 100 Hz/Hz1/2 between 30 Hz to 100 kHz in which a single-frequency 1.5μm DFB diode and Er-doped fiber-amplifier is used as pumping source.
