Generation of gigahertz pulse based on a hybrid plasmonic microfiber resonator

Abstract

We demonstrate a gigahertz stable pulsed all-fiber laser based on the hybrid plasmonic microfiber knot resonator device. Output with repetition rates from 41.2 to 144.3 GHz at 1550 nm and picosecond pulse-width is achieved.
