Stokes Vector Based Polarization Controller for Silicon Photonic Integrated Circuits

Abstract

We propose a novel Stokes Vector based adaptive polarization controller for polarization management of optical signal in photonic integrated circuits based on Stochastic Gradient Descent algorithm. The controller can be used in self coherent receivers.
