Abstract
Diamond Raman lasers provide a highly efficient scheme for achieving single frequency visible output based on Yb-doped fiber (YDF) lasers and frequency doubling technology. Here, a single-frequency laser tunable across 590 to 615 nm with output power up to 8 W is demonstrated in an intracavity frequency-doubled diamond Raman resonator. The spectral linewidth of the frequency doubling was less than 8 MHz. The results reveal a practical approach to obtain tunable high-power single-frequency laser in a wavelength region not well served by other laser technologies.
