Abstract
Thus far, glass has been investigated as a focusing fiber material, but there remain the problems of flexibility and cost if a large diameter is necessary as in the case of imaging.1 On the other hand, plastic materials may be of equivalent quality2 but are more economical, flexible, and have the possibility of low chromatic aberration.3
