Self-assembled plasmonic nanorings

Metallic nanoparticles are self-assembled into plasmonic nanorings using an evaporation-driven bottom-up approach. Well-ordered arrays of nanorings with controllable diameter and pitch are obtained on large areas. Their optical resonances are then characterized using extinction spectroscopy.
