A nanoplasmonic contour bowtie for nanoscale confinement of midinfrared radiation

Abstract

The geometry of a traditional plasmonic bowtie antenna is modified in order to red-shift the resonant wavelength of the antenna while maintaining its footprint area constant. This design also increases the gap enhancement.
