Ring-tree TWDM Optical Access Network with Dynamic Wavelength and Bandwidth Allocation

Abstract

A novel ring-tree TWDM optical access network architecture using matrix optical switch and OEO wavelength converter is proposed. The architecture owns flexible on-demand wavelength and timeslot provision, OLT energy saving ability and backward compatibility.
