Laser-induced damage of nodular defects in dielectric multilayer coatings

Abstract

This paper reviews our recent studies on the laser-induced damage of nodules in dielectric multilayer coatings, where the influence of the electric-field enhancement and the mechanical stability on the thermomechanical damage of nodules is discussed.
