Advances in Diode-Laser-Based Lidar for Profiling Atmospheric Water Vapor

Abstract

The design of an advanced diode laser based differential absorption lidar (DIAL) is discussed which is capable of measuring water vapor profiles over a wide range of atmospheric conditions. The instrument was field tested for 50 days and the results were compared to collocated instrumentation.
