Differential Mueller-matrix formalism for polarization sensitive optical coherence tomography

Abstract

The differential Mueller matrix offers useful insight into the polarization properties of biological tissue imaged with polarization sensitive optical coherence tomography. We present the theory and experimentally demonstrate local depolarization in addition to local retardation.
