Abstract

A silicon photonic temperature sensor based on cladding-modulated grating provides narrowband reflection (0.35-nm), high temperature sensitivity (83 pm/oC) and wide temperature range that outperform the sensors based on ring resonator and strip/slab-type grating counterparts.
