Flat-top band-rejection filter based on helical long-period fiber gratings

Abstract

A novel method to fabricate helical long-period fiber gratings (HLPG) with flat-top band-rejection spectrum is proposed and experimentally demonstrated, which is realized by successively cascading two helical LPGs but with opposite helicities.
