Time-Resolved Gain Spectroscopy on Type-I and Type-II VECSEL Chips

Abstract

Time-resolved reflectivity spectra of a type-II VECSEL chip are presented and compared to that of a type-I VECSEL chip. For both structures we discuss gain, cooling and recombination dynamics.
