Power Coupling Optimization in Periodical Segmented Waveguides by Bio-Inspired Algorithms

Abstract

In this work we present the optimization of the power coupling between continuous and periodic segmented waveguides using a segmented taper by means of bio-inspired algorithms. The performance of the optimized taper as a function of the operating wavelength, C-band, has been also analyzed.
