An Ultra-High Sensitive Biosensor using Dual Resonance Long Period Grating in a Metal Clad Ridge Waveguide

Abstract

We propose and analyze an ultrahigh sensitive bio-sensor using dual resonance long period grating in a metal clad ridge waveguide showing a refractive index sensitivity of 129μm/RIU for watery solutions at telecommunication wavelength.
