Second-Harmonic Induced Soliton Drifting and Annihilation in Microresonators

Abstract

The fundamental soliton dynamics can be affected by second-harmonic generation in microresonators with simultaneous χ(2) and χ(3) nonlinearities. Soliton drifting and annihilation is observed, which facilitates spectrally smooth single-soliton comb generation.
