Tracking the Morphology Evolution of 3D Selective Laser Melting in situ using Inline Coherent Imaging

Abstract

We demonstrate the utility of inline coherent imaging, an interferometric imaging technique, in monitoring 3D selective laser melting additive manufacturing builds. Interlayer morphology is demonstrated to be a promising candidate for real-time process control.
