Photonic Microwave Frequency Identification System with a Thermally Tunable Silicon Microring

Abstract

A photonic microwave frequency identification system with a thermally tunable silicon microring is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The system has excellent performance of wide operating bandwidth of 1-30 GHz, high resolution of 375 MHz and multi-frequency measurement capability.
