Engineering Optical Emission of Sub-diffraction Hyperbolic Metamaterial Resonators

Abstract

We develop an electrodynamic model for sub-diffraction hyperbolic metamaterial resonators using the modified long wave approximation and verify it via experiment and simulations. We investigate engineering the resonator Q, photon loss and far-field pattern.
