Birefringence Compensation from Polarization Maintaining Fiber Pairs

Abstract

Theoretical modeling and experimental verification demonstrate that pair of identical polarization maintaining fibers (PMF), with a relative rotation angle of 90°, will preserve any linear polarization state entering the fiber pair.
