Real-time imaging of mid-range LiDAR using single-chip beam scanner

Abstract

We demonstrate light-detection and ranging (LiDAR) operation detection ranges up to 30 m, 20 fps using fully integrated silicon photonic optical phased array with sparsely arranged semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs), for the first time.
