High Sensitivity Microlaser Detection via VIPA-Grating spectrometer with 2D dispersion

Abstract

We developed a high-resolution spectrometer for microlaser detection featuring cascaded spectral dispersion from VIPA etalon and grating in orthogonal directions. Our spectrometer can measure lasing with spectral resolution up to 100x higher than conventional spectrometers.
