Ultrastrong Terahertz Cerenkov Wake Radiation by Highly Magnetized, Laser-Created Plasmas

Abstract

We numerically show that ultraintense laser pulses interacting with magnetized gases having higher electron cyclotron than plasma frequency efficiently emit THz field bursts 100 GV.m1 that may be useful to probe and manipulate molecular matter.
