Coil-Based Waveguide Layout Architecture for Micro-Photonic Devices

Abstract

A novel design methodology for building micro-photonic devices using a coil-based architecture is proposed. The effectiveness of the methodology has been demonstrated by realizing an ultra-compact 4-λ LAN multiplexer with state-of-the-art optical performance.
