Proton Beam Enhancement from Ultrafast Laser Interactions with Compound Parabolic Concentrators

Abstract

We describe results of an experiment conducted on the Texas Petawatt Laser using compound parabolic concentrators affixed to Cu targets. We demonstrate enhancements in the peak proton energy and measured dose compared to flat targets.
